By some estimates, approximately 40 percent of Detroit residents have no reliable access to the internet. Of those who have regular access, many have access through their smartphones. But not all smartphones are equal, and that creates unique challenges. How do communicators shift their focus to avoid being left behind? How do you develop and review content with people who may not see the significance of social media? What questions should you be asking to produce the right content?
Speaker, David Lingholm is the Director of Digital Media and Community Engagement for the City of Detroit. A new person with a newly created role within city government, Lingholm has been tasked with making sure the city is responsive to citizens online. Prior to joining the city, he guided two Blue Cross Blue Shield blogs through significant reinventions.
