IABC Detroit Selects Colleen Hanley as 2013 Communicator of the Year
The Detroit chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC Detroit) has named Colleen Hanley as its 2013 Communicator of the Year. She will be recognized for communications excellence at IABC Detroit’s 32nd annual Renaissance Awards June 27 at the Henry Ford Centennial Library in Dearborn, Mich.
Hanley is Vice President of Marketing Communications and Government Affairs for CareTech Solutions, a health information technology services company serving more than 200 U.S. hospitals. Her 25-year career in communications includes positions with ArvinMeritor, EDS and Nederman. At ArvinMeritor, success as head of communications led to an appointment as vice president of business and product strategy for one of the company’s global product divisions — the first communications professional in the company to lead a strategic business planning unit. She also is a past president of IABC Detroit and has served as an executive director on IABC’s international board.
IABC is an organization of about 15,000 communication professionals in more than 80 countries.
